Made slowly. On purpose.
Every Fratz piece is designed in Vienna and handmade in a family workshop in Italy, by people who have cut, stitched and finished garments for generations.

A family workshop in Italy
We could have chosen a factory. We chose a family. Our pieces are made by hand in a small Italian workshop where patterns are still adjusted with chalk and the same hands follow a garment from the first cut to the last button.
Handmade means fewer pieces, longer waits and no shortcuts. That is the point. Tracht was always meant to last a lifetime, and ours is made to outlive trends, not follow them.
Viennese idea, Italian hands
Every silhouette starts in Vienna: traditional men's Tracht, slimmed, sharpened and given a sense of humour.
Cut, sewn and finished by hand in a family workshop, in small runs rather than mass production.
Fewer, better pieces. Durable materials, careful seams and details that are repaired, not replaced.
Why handmade Tracht matters
Modern Tracht should not feel like a costume. Handmade construction gives a Janker its shape, a waistcoat its fit and a Lederhose the kind of comfort that only improves with wear. It is also the more responsible choice: small runs, less waste and garments you keep for decades.
Down to the last detail
Every detail is considered, down to the buttons, which are made exclusively for Fratz, and finishes you only notice up close. See the collection.
